i think what’s trying to be said is that if there’s a new version of monster au then the old one shouldn’t be passed off since there’s a lot of stuff to do with it— it wouldn’t be all to fair to push caine into that position because you didn’t like what you did, if anything there can always be a retcon for the aitwins in v1 , making things noncanon is also a way to change stuff, if caine would like to do something different then they should be granted such(?)

just adding my op onto this, since i was kind of saying the same thing yesterday ig its too early to tell if v1 will stay the same, but i had the impression that having both meant that the first one would stay the same for people that didnt want to retcon, etc. so if things are retconned in there regardless then its just a bit confusing imo

i understand that completely and your feelings are valid; i am only in concern about caine since they are the one wanting to try things and characters shouldn’t be gatekept to specific things (not saying anything is gatekept currently but just for reference if it does happen in the future bc that’ll become a problem too) — if you are going to start anew then it’d be best to drop and wipe v1 ai so someone else can get a chance if you’d like to be aira here this also creates another conflict due to what caine said that they don’t want to write over things which i understand

humanity has tools like compromising and majority vote because not everyone can be satisfied

Nobody is directly mad at you, this is genuinely seeming like you (from an outsiders perspective) are taking this a little too to heart? Like, I think you might need to take a step back or smthn because you seem a lot more upset than the situation calls for.
